AFCAT Recruitment 2022: Notification out, Know Eligibility Criteria, and Application Procedure

AFCAT Recruitment 2022: An official announcement by the Indian Air Force to all eligible Graduates for AFCAT-2 Entry, Meteorology Entry, and NCC Special Entry Flying in different vacancies. According to the official notice of the Indian Air Force, interested applicants need to enlist online at the official website which is afcat.cdac.in. The online application process will start on the first of June 2022 at 11:00 Am and will close on 30th June 2022 at 05:00 pm.

Online applications are being acknowledged for courses starting in July 2023 for the honor of a Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Flying Branch and a Permanent Commission (PC) and a Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Ground Duty that is Technical and Non-Technical Branches.

Training for AFCAT will start in the starting week of July 2023 for all courses at Air Force Academy Dundigal (Hyderabad). For Flying and Ground Duty (Technical) branches, the time period of training is 74 weeks and for the Ground Duty (Non-Technical) branches, the time duration is 52 weeks at Air Force Training Establishments.

PAN Card and account in SBI/Nationalized Bank are obligatory at the time of joining the Air Force Academy. Aadhaar Card is required for enlistment. The candidate should have to pay the application fee through online mode. The candidates registering for AFCAT entry are required to pay an amount of Rs. 250/- as an examination fee which is non-refundable. However, the candidates who are registering for NCC special entry and Meteorology posts will not have to pay the application fee.

Required Eligibility and Age Limit for the AFCAT Recruitment 2022

  • All candidates should have passed at least the 12th Examination and graduate to apply for the Indian Air Force Bharti 2022 Application Form.
  • The age limit for the Flying Branch is 20 to 24 years as of 01 July 2023 i.e. The candidate should be born between 02 July 1999 to 01 July 2003 (both dates inclusive). The upper age limit relaxable up to 26 years i.e. born between second July 1997 to first July 2003 is for the candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License which is issued by DGCA India.
  • The age limit for the Ground Duty for Technical/ Non-Technical branches is 20 to 26 years as of 01 July 2023 i.e. born between 02 July 1997 to 01 July 2003. AFCAT Entry, Meteorology Entry, and NCC Special Entry Flying.

Selection Process for the AFCAT Recruitment 2022

  • The candidate should have to appear in the written test and clear the exam, then the candidate should have to pass the skill test.
  • After passing the skill test, the candidate should have to prepare for the Practical test and Physical test and clear the test.
  • After passing the physical test the recruitment board will call the candidate for document verification.
  • Then after the candidate is required to appear in the Medical examination and then pass the interview process.
  • So in this way, the candidate should have to appear in the different selection phases and clear the phase.

The online procedure to apply for the Indian Air Force Recruitment 2022 Online Form

  • First of all, the candidates are required to visit the official website of the Indian Air Force which is indianairforce.nic.in.
  • Now, the candidates will have to click on the ‘Indian Air Force Online Apply‘ Link.
  • Then, the Indian Air Force Application Form will open on the computer screen and the candidate will have to enter all the necessary details in the Indian Air Force application form.
  • After that, the candidate needs to upload all the scanned documents as asked in the form.
  • Now, the candidate will have to make a payment through online mode and then hit on the ‘submit‘ tab.
  • Now, the candidate will have to download the application form for further use.
